‘Hellboy’ Reboot in the Works with New Director and Lead

After two films in the supernatural superhero franchise, Millenium announced a new entry in the Hellboy franchise on Tuesday.

In talks with producers Lloyd Levin and Larry Gordon, Millenium is hoping to reboot the series with a new star and director.

Band Reunions: All the Rage in the Post-Hardcore Scene

In the early 2000’s, I got into the sub-genres of punk and alternative music. Bands like Thursday, Underoath, and Thrice were all the rage in my life. I remember going to the store and being excited to spend the little money I had to buy the CDs I wanted. I was always stoked to see CDs of the punk music I liked available at Wal-Mart and other big-box stores. It reassured me that the music I listened to maybe wasn’t as crazy as I thought it was.

Overwatch Becomes Activision-Blizzard’s 8th Billion Dollar Franchise

On the heels of the announcement that Overwatch has over 30 million global players, parent company Activision announced sales figures exceeding expectations thanks to Overwatch.

“Among the drivers of our results was ‘Overwatch‘ which now has over 30 million players globally”, said Activision CEO, Bobby Kotick in a statement.

Total adjusted revenue for Activision-Blizzard rose 31.7% to $1.2 billion in the first quarter ending March 31st. Last year figures ended at $908 million.

Don’t Cry for Mankind: A Case for NieR: Automata

The early months of 2017 have been among the all-time strongest starts for video games. Nintendo’s The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Atlus’ Persona 5 and Guerrilla Games’ Horizon Zero Dawn have raised the bar for the video games as a whole. In a single move, The Legend of Zelda completely rewrote the formula from previous Zelda games. Persona 5 took the successful blueprints from previous titles in the series and added a layer of beautiful animation and personality to every single screen and menu. What’s the Point? Rogue One: A Star Wars Story

Since its acquisition of Lucasfilm in 2012, Disney has released revitalized interest in the Star Wars brand with a steady stream of movies, television shows, books and comics. There’s so much Star Wars I hardly know what to do. Every morning when I get dragged out of bed by my kid I wonder “How is Star Wars going to affect my life today?”

It turns out that everywhere I go there’s Star Wars. “May the Fourth Be With You” (May 4th) is basically a national holiday. We are now “blessed” with the prospect of a Star Wars film every year, with main saga and side-stories alternating every year.
