There’s some solid A+ ideas rolling around in my head about a directed, highly stylized game about a mysterious female protagonist fighting against larger and larger machines in an effort to defend her homeland (This is starting to sound like NieR: Automata and Horizon: Zero Dawn).

HTC Reveals the Vive Pro

Today at the Consumer Electronics Show, HTC showed off it’s high end HTC Vive Pro headset. This marks the first real departure from the core HTC Vive that the company has announced since it first came to market.

“There’s a clear need in the VR market for a premium VR experience with high resolution display, integrated audio and the best components available today in a headset,” said VIVE US general manager Daniel O’Brien. “Vive Pro offers an immediate upgrade for both VR enthusiasts and enterprises that want to utilize the best VR experience.”

The new Vive Pro headset will feature dual OLED screens running at a 2880×1600 resolution and comes equipped with noise cancelling microphone, two front facing cameras and a fully redesigned head strap.

There is currently no announcements of pricing or release.

Most Anticipated 2018 – ’13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim’

Some of the best artistic style in games over the last 10 years came from Vanillaware. The Japanese studio uses a cel-shaded style that makes every single frame look like it was straight out of an incredibly detailed manga or comic book. Any Vanillaware game is beautiful to see in motion and is worth viewing for yourself.

Brent’s Top 10 Games of 2017

2017 will be remembered as a very strong year for gaming. The Nintendo Switch came out and planted itself firmly as the console to beat and the Playstation 4 brought a selection of software reaffirming Sony’s games first mentality; and Microsoft put out a nuclear reactor in console form in the stunningly beautiful Xbox One X. No matter where your allegiances lie whether it be to one company or to gaming as a whole everybody had something to be supremely proud of this year.

Summing up my top 10 games of the year was a harrowing task as this year had some of this console generations best games released one on top of the other. There are multiple games that it pains me won’t make this list and even more than won’t make it as I just never had the time to play them. This is the internet however and games must be listed, so here is my list of the top 10 video games of 2017!

Life Will Find a Way in New ‘Jurassic World’ Sim
