Today at the Consumer Electronics Show, HTC showed off it’s high end HTC Vive Pro headset. This marks the first real departure from the core HTC Vive that the company has announced since it first came to market.
“There’s a clear need in the VR market for a premium VR experience with high resolution display, integrated audio and the best components available today in a headset,” said VIVE US general manager Daniel O’Brien. “Vive Pro offers an immediate upgrade for both VR enthusiasts and enterprises that want to utilize the best VR experience.”
The new Vive Pro headset will feature dual OLED screens running at a 2880×1600 resolution and comes equipped with noise cancelling microphone, two front facing cameras and a fully redesigned head strap.
There is currently no announcements of pricing or release.
