Sega announced the release date of the retro-styled platformer today, along with a new trailer.

Launching August 15 on the Sony Playstation 4, Microsoft Xbox One, Nintendo Switch. and Steam, the high velocity antics of the classic blue speedster will retail for $20, or $70 for the Physical Collector’s Edition.

Hoping to recapture the magic of the original Sonic the Hedgehog titles on the Sega Genesis, Sonic Mania is poised to bring back some of the classic charms that started the series.
